Private Piano and singing lessons with Jess K
To all piano lovers, we are offering private classes for both children and adults, at beginner level. Whether you are interested in baroque, classical, romantic or contemporary music, the piano is the perfect instrument to explore all musical genres! Our classes are tailor-made for each student according to their level, needs and tastes. While perfecting several notions of musical theory and piano technique, students will be able to learn small pieces of music right from the first lesson, which will allow them to learn this wonderful instrument. 30-minute lessons.

While perfecting several notions of music theory and vocal technique, students will be able, from the first lessons, to familiarize themselves with several songs of different styles, which will allow them to develop their talent and have fun during their singing lessons.

Private Classical Piano Lesson with Petya K.
These piano lessons for children take young musicians to a higher level of musical competence and understanding. These lessons build on the foundations established in the previous stages, delving deeper into more complex techniques, repertoire and musical concepts. The teacher tailors lessons to each child's unique abilities and interests, encouraging creativity and a deeper connection with the art of piano playing.
About Petya Karakoleva:
Petya Karakoleva, classical pianist and piano teacher, has over 20 years' experience on stage as a soloist and collaborative pianist, and in the piano studio where she teaches students of all ages and levels. She holds an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Bulgaria, a Bachelor of Music degree from the U.S., certification as an "Advanced Specialist - Piano Designation" from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Ontario and, most recently, an Artist Diploma in Community Education from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. She is the winner of several piano competitions and has been awarded the RCM Gold Medal as a teacher. As a collaborative pianist, she has worked for the National Conference of the Ballet Masters of America, R.A.D. classes and examinations, Nevada Ballet Company, Opera Las Vegas Company, Cirque du Soleil, Céline Dion, Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theatre, Nevada School of the Arts, National Ballet of Canada, Kingston School of Dance, to name but a few. In Canada, Ms. Karakoleva has performed in Montreal, Toronto and at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, the History Museum and the National Gallery of Canada. She has taught piano at the Nevada School of the Arts, the Wen Piano Institute, the Ottawa School of Music, the School of Dance, the Manotick School of Music and privately.

Private Guitar Lessons with Stoyan
Thursdays from 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Stoyan Ganev is a versatile musician with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies, specializing in bass guitar and double bass. He has taught guitar and bass at institutions such as the Ottawa School of Music and has extensive teaching experience in Las Vegas. In 2013, he was a top 5 finalist in the CBC Searchlight competition for composition, showcasing his creative talents. Stoyan has also worked as a session musician, film composer, and performer at international jazz festivals. He now focuses on teaching beginner and intermediate guitar students, blending his global performance experience with a passion for teaching.
Class offered in English only. Students are required to bring their own guitar and purchase the following lesson book: Hal Leonard Guitar Book

Private Violin or Piano lessons with Jenna
This class is a great way to explore the violin for the first time! The private classes are designed to build your skills methodically in a relaxed, enjoyable, and encouraging atmosphere. By the end of the course, students will be able to identify the parts of the instrument, how to properly hold the instrument, and be able to play some introductory pieces.
Students must provide their own violin. These can be purchased or rented through The Sound Post for an additional fee. All other course materials are included in the fee.
Jenna O'Connor has been teaching violin lessons to children and adults since 2002. She is patient, enthusiastic and has a wealth of teaching experience. Her goal is to develop autonomous learners with good violin technique who play with ease and beautiful tone. Mrs. O'Connor engages young students through games and musical activities.
Prior to moving to Ottawa, Mrs. O'Connor taught violin at the Orpheus Academy of Music in Austin, TX, and at the Vancouver Academy of Music in Vancouver, BC. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Music degree in Music Education with an emphasis on Suzuki Pedagogy from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Mrs. O'Connor is a fully certified Suzuki violin teacher and is committed to life-long professional development.
