  • Sewing Workshop Series (ages 8-14)

    Saturdays, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Want to learn to sew? Join Misfits Sewing Society for 6 weeks of Saturday morning sewing classes in a fun, supportive and creative environment. Whether you want to learn the basics of using a sewing machine for the first time, or you already know how to sew, this class is for you!

Young sewists will learn valuable skills including sewing machine operations, how to cut from a pattern, how to install a zipper, how to use an iron, basic hand sewing, how to turn any sewing disaster into a sewing win and so much more! All while making 3 sewing projects- a zippered pencil case/toiletry bag, a decorative pennant banner and a stuffed bunny! Projects are always fun to keep, but they also make precious gifts for loved ones.

Sewing is not only a fantastic practical skill to have, it’s also a great creative outlet and a fun challenge for minds that like to build things and understand how things are made.

Classes are group sessions with experienced sewing teachers on hand to help you every step of the way.

Come make stuff, connect with other crafty kids and have fun!

All supplies are included! If you have your own sewing machine and would like to learn on that machine you are welcome to bring it with you to class, but it is not necessary.
